Mohan Vaghul – CEO

Mohan Vaghul is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned semiconductor executive with over 30 years of experience in engineering, leadership, and startups. He is currently serving as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at University of Washington’s CoMotion, a commercialization center. He started his first company in 1999, and since then he has been involved in startups and entrepreneurial activity ever since. Most recently, he was at Pixelworks, a fabless semiconductor company based in Silicon Valley, where he started the video processing business and grew it to a multimillion dollar business shipping 6 generations of video processors chips to customers like LG, SHARP, Toshiba, Hisense, Panasonic, and others. Mohan received a BSME from College of Engineering, Pune and a MSME from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has also done several management programs, including Managing Innovation at Babson University, and Software Strategies (part of the  University of Washington’s Management Executive Education Program).

Dr. John D. Sahr – CTO

Dr. John David Sahr is a professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington. He earned his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (with honor) from Caltech in 1984, and his PhD from Cornell University in 1990. Dr. Sahr joined the University of Washington in 1991, and shortly thereafter won an NSF National Young Investigator award, as well as the URSI Booker Fellowship. Dr. Sahr’s research has focused on radar remote sensing with application to ionospheric physics. He and his students have developed novel radar waveforms for unambiguous range and Doppler estimation of deep overspread targets, as well developing the first bistatic passive radar for ionospheric study. Dr. Sahr and his students also developed the first direct sampling receivers for ionospheric research, and have recently designed and built very high speed, direct sampling receivers for aerospace applications. Dr. Sahr has served as Department Chair of Electrical Engineering, as well as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the University of Washington.

Dr. Tony P. Goodson – Chief Engineer

Dr. Anthony P. Goodson, Principal Investigator (PI), is the chief engineer for the OneRadio Corporation. Dr. Goodson has 25 years’ experience in the aerospace industry, contributing at all levels of engineering and management at Boeing, up to program manager with execution authority and responsibility for a major defense acquisition program. By coupling his engineering and technical backgrounds with experience in operations research and analysis, Dr. Goodson has lead the development of fundamentally novel applications of new technologies. Dr. Goodson has a demonstrated record of success in execution: his teams have won 100% award fee on cost-plus-award-fee contracts. Dr. Goodson earned Bachelors’ degrees in both Aerospace and Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1989, and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Washington in 1998.
